Executor Duties and Responsibilities

An executor of a will has many duties that need to be performed while executing a will. Property has to be allocated to the beneficiaries, creditors must be paid out from the assets of the estate, any property whether personal or real must be maintained, and any taxes or liens must also be paid. The executor must also account for every single action taken against the estate to the probate court. This requires a great deal of time and effort on the part of the executor.

Even if you know the duties that you are responsible for, they can still be quite complicated and difficult to administer. If you are having trouble administering an estate as the executor you should consult with a professional Los Angeles estate planning Lawyer from the Law Offices of David A. Shapiro.
