Creating a List of Key Estate Contacts

I want you to take a moment at look at the space surrounding you.. Did you just let out an enormous sigh that almost blew your computer off the desk? Let's be honest, no matter how organized we think we are, there is always more that can be done.

Imagine, as hard as it is, that you suddenly die or become severely disabled. If you can't find what you are looking for in that pile of papers and folders, how can your loved ones find what they are going to need to be able to settle your affairs?

That is why it is the utmost importance to organize and create a contact list of all of the key people that will need to be notified in case of your death or disability. Some of these people will be:

-Estate Planning Attorney
-Accountant
-Life Insurance and other Insurance Agents
-Financial Advisors
-Trust Officer
-Doctors (past and present)

Make sure when creating your list that you include full personal names, the name of their firm, physical address, email address, as well as office and mobile phone numbers. Keep this list updated with any changes as soon as they are made. Make sure the list is labeled and is posted or placed somewhere that is easy to find.
