Legal Consequences for Interference with Inheritance

     The question is, should there be legal consequences when a person interferes with your inheritance? The recent trend of cases points to a new tort which as recently emerged.  While other states have decided to recognize the tort of intentional interference with an inheritance expectancy. California does not yet recognize this tort. However, if you live in California and are concerned that you have a relative or loved one subject to undue influence you should consult an experienced Los Angeles Probate Attorney because you may be able to bring your claim for undue influence through the Probate Court.  
          One way to avoid interference with inheritance is to have a solid estate plan. Its never too soon to start your estate plan. In fact, if you own any real estate you should consider consulting with an estate litigation attorney to inquire about drafting a living trust.
